Tselepos Estate

By taking advantage of the ecosystem of Arcadian land Tselepos Estate set moschofilero vineyards at an altitude of 750 metres. These 500 hectares of moschofilero vines have been the core of PDO Mantinia vineyards since 1971.

The very special microclimate of Mantinia growth is what makes this variety differ compared to other varieties grown in Peloponnese. Thus, the “fileri” which is cultivated throughout Peloponnese turns into moschofilero in Mantinia, an important producer of premium white wines with a special aroma and flavour obtained thanks to the low temperature of the location and the late ripening.

The wine produced from moschofilero vines is a “blanc de gris”, a white wine from grey grapes. It is a genuine offspring of the Ancient Arcadia vineyard, also called “the Kapnios wine of Arcadia” according to the historian and traveller Theophrastus. It is a crisp, refreshing white wine while its rosy flavour alludes to a fusion of gewurztraminer and muscat grapes.

Tselepos Estate is the proud producer of award winning top wines exceeding the expectations of wine lovers worldwide. The wines have participated in various wine tasting competitions in Greece and abroad and are distinguished for their high quality and fine flavour.

With the guidance and the know-how of the Tselepos Estate specialized team, it has managed to make all the necessary arrangements so that Driopi Estate meets their expectations and fulfils their dreams.

This way, a stretch of 4 hectares was replanted with specially selected clones, while the rest of the vineyard was maintained, yet adjusted to the new philosophy so that it meets the high standards of Tselepos Estate, such as low yields (6 tons / per hectare) and innovative vinification methods. In the premises of the Estate there is a small state-of-the-art winery including wine cellars serving as a wine making unit for agiorgitiko.
