The Gofas family cultivates its own vineyards and delivers from generation to generation, the principle is lost back in time by creating Estate Constantin Gofas.
The philosophy is that the excellent raw material is the basis for a quality wine. Wanting to have absolute control over the raw material comes from their own vineyards. The private vineyard covers an area of about 80 acres. The vineyards Buzzard, Simarkou, Zennes Paliohori stand for the soil and climatic characteristics giving them excellent quality raw material.
The cultivation of vineyards is done with the integrated management system standards. Applicable farming techniques modified per vineyard knowing the particular characteristics of the microclimate of each subregion aimed at the optimum quality raw material.
The control of production until the final stage is the supervision and care of the family and the continuous monitoring of our partner, agronomist George Tsounia. The varieties grown are Agiorgitiko, Malagouzia, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Gris.
The Gofas wines produced on the estate is a combined result of the excellent raw material they receive, the modern equipment of the winery and the sound scientific training of oenologists Venus Kyriakou and Panagiotis Thamnidi. A tireless worker and coordinator Konstantinos Gkofas guarantee the production of quality wines.
The annual production is 80,000 bottles. 80% of production is exported to America Europe and Asia. The people of the land closely monitor the progress of our wines in the Greek and international market with a view to better serve consumers and our partners.
