The restaurant Kanoni first opened its doors in 1986 when the founder and owner Giovanis Antony and his wife Maria decided to buy this property and convert it into a nice restaurant.
They seized the opportunity as there was a lack in the local market of a good restaurant, where people could enjoy good food in a place besides taverns and so they decided to turn that property they bought into a family business and a friendly high class restaurant.
After many years of experience in hospitality and with famous guests such as Queen Elizabeth, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, president Kennedy and other famous people from Greece and all over the world and after being awarded in foreign magazines like Times, Kanoni restaurant is now a well known restaurant for its rich flavors and the family-like atmosphere.
The first owners decided however, to pass the management of the restaurant on their son, as he was studying at Alpine Center in Switzerland Hotel Management and has focused, during his career, in the Food and Beverage industry. Now he came to take full responsiblity of the Kanoni and he is trying to give the customers more of the Peloponnesian tradition to the menu.
Enjoy the local cuisine with fresh cooked dishes like fried local goat cheese, sausage made from an old times recipe with orange and smoked with sage, the special dish eggplants Kanoni with grilled eggplant, tomato, onions, peppers, cheese feta all baked in the oven and so many more delicacies.
