The village of Piana is located on the slopes of Mount Menalos, at an altitude of 1,150 meters, right in the center of Arcadia! Just two hours away from Athens and 20 minutes from Tripoli by car is an easy solution for escape and rejuvenation!
Once the descending travellers from Tripolis reach the bends of Silimna, they will come to a clearing from where they can gaze the horizon and see the majestic church standing like a beacon spreading its protective light over the Municipality of Falanthos.
The church located in the village of Piana took its name after Saint George and it was founded on a rock in the beginning of the 20th century. Piana is a pre-revolutionary village approximately dated back to 1600 A.D and it bears the name of the God Pan. It is a picturesque village nested in a pine forest in mount Menalos at an altitude of 1090 metres.
Every we day bake warm bread to accompany it, with our homemade jams ! Try fresh eggs and cheese from the village and many more delicacies!
