Ten days through the UNESCO sites of the Peloponnese
Visit five World Heritage properties in one coherent road trip: Mycenae and Tiryns form one joint property, followed by Epidaurus, Mystras, Bassae and Olympia. Nafplio, Sparta, Kalamata and Andritsaina provide places to pause between the principal visits.

Where you’ll spend the night
Nafplio nights 1–3; Sparta nights 4–5; Kalamata night 6; Andritsaina night 7; Olympia nights 8–9; five bases, four hotel changes
Nafplio arrival
Travel from Athens to Nafplio, using Ancient Corinth only if you arrive with a full day. Settle in for three nights.

Mycenae and Tiryns
Spend the morning at Mycenae and its museum. Visit Tiryns after a break if hours and temperature allow; otherwise move Tiryns to tomorrow’s lighter afternoon.
Epidaurus
Give the sanctuary a full morning. Return to Nafplio for the remainder of the day rather than continuing south immediately.

Sparta
Transfer to Sparta. Use the afternoon for a museum or the modern centre and save Mystras for a fresh morning.

Mystras
Walk a coherent circuit through the Byzantine city. Stay a second night near Sparta, giving the climbing day a quiet finish.
Across to Kalamata
Drive to Kalamata using a main-road route suited to conditions. The scenic Taygetos crossing is an alternative requiring its own weather and driving assessment. Spend the afternoon in the city.

Ancient Messene and Andritsaina
Visit Ancient Messene, a major archaeological addition outside the five World Heritage properties, then transfer to Andritsaina. Omit the site if that combination is too long for your group.
Bassae and Olympia
Visit the Temple of Apollo Epicurius at Bassae after confirming access. Continue to Olympia, arriving for the evening rather than trying to visit its whole sanctuary today.
Olympia
Give the site and archaeological museum the day. Add the history of the ancient Olympic Games museum if time and interest allow. Sleep locally again.
Return via the north
Return towards Corinth and Athens by the main-road option through the northwest. A mountain route through Arcadia is a different itinerary and works better with another overnight.
Before you go
Check all five properties’ current visiting arrangements. Mystras and Bassae need particular attention to terrain, entrance routing and weather.
Motorcyclists should plan storage for helmets and protective clothing during long site visits. The trip uses public roads; it does not require off-road riding.
Adjust the pace
With more time: Add two Arcadia nights between Olympia and Corinth.
With less time: Choose the three-day Argolis trip; do not attempt all five properties in a short weekend.
Allow extra travel time. Day 10 for an Athens return; Day 7 within the sightseeing sequence.
