Fourteen days around all seven Peloponnese regions
This clockwise circuit connects all seven geographic regions with a distinct role for each. It is an active introduction with six overnight bases. It includes western Mani but leaves deep Mani, Monemvasia and island stays for extensions instead of forcing every famous name into the fortnight.

Where you’ll spend the night
Nafplio nights 1–3; Dimitsana nights 4–5; Sparta nights 6–7; Kalamata nights 8–9; Olympia nights 10–11; Patras nights 12–13; six bases, five hotel changes
Corinth and Nafplio
Start in Athens, choose Ancient Corinth as the main visit and continue to Nafplio. Treat the canal as a brief optional stop.

Mycenae and Nafplio
Visit Mycenae and return to town. Add Tiryns only if there is useful time and energy after a break.

Epidaurus
Explore the sanctuary, then return to Nafplio. Keep the evening free before changing regions.

Into Arcadia
Transfer to Dimitsana, taking a village pause in Vytina if it fits the chosen road. Walk Dimitsana after checking in.

The Lousios landscape
Choose a suitable signed walk or combine the Water Power Museum with Stemnitsa. Stay in Dimitsana.
Sparta
Drive to Sparta via the main-road network and settle in. Use the afternoon for a museum if open.
Mystras
Spend the day at Mystras and nearby Sparta. A second night here separates a demanding walk from the next coastal transfer.
Gytheio and western Mani
Travel to Gytheio, then through Areopoli and the western Mani coast to Kalamata. This is a driving day: choose one short town stop and do not add Diros or Tainaron.
Ancient Messene
Make a dedicated archaeological day from Kalamata. Return for the evening.
Kalamata to Olympia
Move north to Olympia. Choose a short Kyparissia stop if using the western route; leave Bassae for a longer version of the trip.
Olympia
Visit the sanctuary and museums without another hotel move.
Patras
Travel north to Patras. Chlemoutsi can be the main stop en route if the day’s access and timing work. Stay in Patras.
City or wetland day
Choose Patras museums and upper town, or a separate Strofylia excursion. Keep the same base.
The Gulf of Corinth return
Return towards Athens, with an Aigio or Xylokastro stop if departure time allows. Use a separate final night near your departure point for an early flight.
Before you go
Fix the first and final nights around transport, then fit archaeological opening days into the circuit. Book the compact historic bases before adding optional activities.
The longest coastal day needs breaks for both drivers and riders. Use the main-road Sparta–Kalamata transfer if weather or fatigue makes the scenic section unsuitable.
Adjust the pace
With more time: Add Monemvasia, deep Mani, western Messinia or Bassae in separate two-night extensions.
With less time: Choose a nine-day southern route or a six-day northwestern journey.
Allow extra travel time. Day 8, Sparta to Gytheio and Kalamata by the Mani coast; final Athens travel also needs a generous allowance.
