The Isthmus and Ancient Corinth
Start in Athens and travel to the Isthmus. Use a permitted public viewpoint for the canal stop, then continue to Ancient Corinth for the Temple of Apollo, the Roman city and museum. Have lunch before the onward drive to Nafplio. Acrocorinth is an alternative to the lower site for visitors primarily interested in fortifications; visiting both leaves a much longer day. Check into Nafplio and finish with the waterfront and old-town lanes.
A full morning in Nafplio
Walk through Syntagma Square and choose either the archaeological museum or Palamidi as your main visit. Leave room for lunch and a second walk through town before returning to Athens. Tiryns can replace the main morning visit, but adding it to a packed fortress-and-museum day undermines the purpose of a short break.

Confirm the archaeological opening days before deciding which visit comes first. Reserve accommodation with a clear parking and luggage plan.
By car, leave the vehicle outside the tight old-town lanes. By motorcycle, arrange luggage storage before walking; the archaeological stops require the same time on foot as they do for car travellers.

With more time: Add a second Nafplio night and visit Mycenae on a third day.
With less time: Spend both days around Nafplio and omit Corinthian archaeology.
