Strofylia and Kalogria

Strofylia brings coastal forest, dunes and wetlands together in the northwestern Peloponnese. Kalogria provides a recognisable coastal destination within this wider natural setting.

What makes it stand out

Choose a permitted walking, viewing or road route that lets you understand the linked habitats. A beach visit and a wildlife outing can occupy the same region, but they require different behaviour and access decisions. Keep observation at a respectful distance and allow seasonal conditions to determine what you see.

Planning your visit

Use Patras as a base for a dedicated day or stay locally after confirming accommodation. Check protected-area and fire-risk guidance before entering the forest. Use legal parking, stay off dunes and do not assume every track is open to vehicles. Swimming depends on conditions at the chosen shore. If continuing to Olympia, keep the visit focused rather than adding Chlemoutsi and several other sites to the same transfer.
