Ermioni

Ermioni combines a coastal settlement with the wooded Bisti peninsula and a waterfront around Mandrakia. It makes a useful southern Argolis base when evenings on foot matter as much as daytime excursions.

What makes it stand out

Walk the waterfront, then continue towards Bisti where the permitted paths give another view of the settlement and sea. The shape of the peninsula encourages a visit at local pace rather than a sequence of distant attractions. Inland, Didyma provides a geological contrast; Kranidi and Porto Heli fit another day of the same regional stay.

Planning your visit

Stay two nights or longer to make the most of the base. Check parking and the walking route from your accommodation, especially if you plan to leave the vehicle in one place. Swimming and water activities depend on the exact shore and conditions, so make those decisions separately from the town walk. For an onward trip to Methana, allow a proper transfer day rather than leaving after a crowded sightseeing programme.
