Travel from the mainland ferry point at Pounta after checking the current schedule and vehicle arrangements. Two or three nights give the beaches and settlement a place in the trip. Keep ferry uncertainty away from a tightly timed onward flight or long final drive.
Visit Sapienza or Proti with a confirmed plan
Sapienza fits a stay around Methoni or Foinikounta. Proti fits the Marathopoli coast. Confirm the departure point, landing permissions, duration and suitability of the outing. A mainland castle, town or coastal day should remain available if the boat cannot operate.
Respect sensitive places
Use permitted access and leave vegetation, wildlife and archaeological remains undisturbed. Do not expect the facilities of an inhabited resort on an excursion island. Bring what the operator recommends and take waste back to the mainland.
