Four days along the Arcadian coast and Parnon
Follow the eastern coast from Paralio Astros to Leonidio, then give the mountains their own day. The route is a good fit for travellers who enjoy changing scenery and small coastal bases, including road motorcyclists who prefer short sightseeing days to maximum mileage.

- Time on the road
- 4 days · 3 nights
- Your pace
- Moderate scenic driving
- When to go
- spring and autumn; summer with reduced mountain walking
Where you’ll spend the night
Paralio Astros night 1; Leonidio nights 2–3; two bases, one hotel change
Paralio Astros
Arrive from Nafplio or Tripoli and spend the afternoon around the harbour and castle hill. Stay in Paralio Astros.

Wetland coast and Leonidio
Make a permitted viewing stop at Moustos, then continue south with a waterfront break in Tyros. Reach Leonidio in time to walk the town. The town lies inland; Plaka is the separate coastal stop for an evening by the harbour.
Elona and Kosmas
Use a daylight mountain excursion towards Elona Monastery and Kosmas, checking the monastery’s visiting arrangements and the road conditions first. Return to Leonidio. In poor weather, remain on the lower coast around Poulithra.
Poulithra and return
Spend the morning around Poulithra if yesterday was a mountain day, then return north towards your onward route. Avoid adding a remote coastal shortcut purely because it appears shorter on a map.
Before you go
Check mountain-road notices, monastery access and the permitted Moustos viewpoints. A climbing day requires a separate plan and appropriate skills.
The same paved-road itinerary works for cars and touring motorcycles. Riders need a conservative schedule through bends and a weather alternative for the climb towards Kosmas.
Adjust the pace
With more time: Add two Leonidio nights for a climbing programme or a separate Agios Petros stay.
With less time: Spend three days at Leonidio and use a single mountain or coast excursion.
Allow extra travel time. Day 3 for winding roads; Day 4 if continuing to Athens.
