What makes it stand out
Pavlopetri is an archaeological place whose remains lie underwater. Understanding that setting is worthwhile even without a water activity. The nearby wetland belongs to a sensitive coastal environment. Keep the two subjects distinct: underwater heritage, habitat and leisure use do not carry the same access rules.
Planning your visit
Use Neapoli as a base or allow time on the mainland before an island stay. Obtain current heritage and protected-area guidance before swimming, snorkelling or approaching sensitive margins. Do not touch, remove or enter archaeological remains, and do not promise an unrestricted underwater route. Ferry departure time is a reason to keep the visit modest, not to rush through a protected place.
