Seven days through vineyards and olive country
Use Nemea, the Mantineia plateau and Kalamata to connect food with the landscapes that produce it. The journey combines archaeology and town life with a small number of pre-booked visits. Wine tasting requires a non-drinking driver or arranged transport.

- Interest-led with reserved visits
- When to go
- spring or autumn; harvest visits depend on producers’ schedules
Where you’ll spend the night
Nemea area nights 1–2; Tripoli nights 3–4; Kalamata nights 5–6; three bases, two hotel changes
Nemea
Arrive in the Nemea area. Visit the sanctuary or settle in before a single pre-booked tasting. Choose accommodation according to confirmed availability and your transport plan.
Vineyards and ancient games
Visit the stadium and museum if not covered yesterday. Arrange a vineyard or cellar visit with transport that lets everyone who wishes to taste do so without driving.
Mantineia and Tripoli
Move to Tripoli and the Mantineia plateau. Explore the ancient city or book one Moschofilero-focused visit, rather than stacking both with Kapsia Cave.
Arcadian food and geology
Visit Kapsia if a tour is available, then return to Tripoli for a meal and time in the centre. A village excursion replaces the cave if that better suits your interests.
Kalamata
Drive to Kalamata and explore the historic centre. Look for olives, olive oil and regional ingredients in food shops without assuming the full market operates every day.

Ancient Messene and a producer
Choose Ancient Messene as the main visit. A producer appointment can be added only if it is genuinely nearby and leaves time for the site; otherwise make it the alternative focus.
A final city morning
Enjoy Kalamata before departure. If continuing west, add nights around Pylos or Koroni instead of treating the coastal region as a final hurried tasting circuit.

Before you go
Confirm every producer’s visitor operation, language, duration and cancellation terms. Tastings are not walk-in guarantees.
Designated-driver arrangements apply equally to cars and motorcycles. A meal or a waiting interval is not a substitute for a non-drinking driver.
Adjust the pace
With more time: Add two nights in western Messinia for olive landscapes and coastal meals.
With less time: Choose three days in Nemea or three days around Kalamata.
Allow extra travel time. Day 5, Tripoli to Kalamata, unless arrival or departure is longer.
